Senior Executive -  Talent Acquisition (Human Resources)

 

Accountabilities, Deliverables and Challenges

•Proactively source candidates through search engines, candidate pools, social media websites, referrals, networking, and other avenues

•Assist with compiling job description and job advertisements

•Ensure all applications are digitally recorded and short listed and sent to panels to interview in a timely and efficient manner

•Collaborate with recruiters, operations staff and other human resources staff to ensure a smooth sourcing and hiring process

•Ownership of and digital and manual maintenance of applicant tracking systems, spread sheets, and other tools to manage the requisition approval process, incoming resumes and applicant shortlisting processes

•Schedule phone and onsite interviews with candidates and hiring manager and/or team members

•Conduct HR interviews and ensure candidates are evaluated on Pearson Values

•Complete reference checks on all potential candidates and review findings with hiring manager prior to job offer

•Assist with initial onboarding by creating offer letters

•Ensure all candidates that are unsuccessful get a “thank you” letter and  warrant appropriate follow-up with the rejected candidates

•Develop innovative, creative, and proactive recruitment / sourcing strategies to develop active and passive candidate pipelines.

•Conducts regular follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruitments done

•Identify and source appropriate internal talent for current and future open roles within the organization

•Assists in branding to ensure Pearson as an “employer of choice” for both internal employees and external candidates

•Represent Pearson and assist with campus recruitments and job fairs etc

•Assist in coordinating and running soft skill training programmes for fresh graduates and students

•Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and assist with internal and external audits

•Work collaboratively with others in Human Resources to continually improve the service provided to all stakeholders

 

 

Education, Qualifications and background

•Degree in HR and/or Professional Qualification in HR with preferably 2- 3 years’ experience in recruitment or Human Resources

•Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization

•Strong Team contributor, sharing ideas, knowledge and best practices

•Have a sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

•Social media savvy; ability to leverage social media to connect with top talent

Past experience in recruiting IT personal will definitely be an added advantage

•Ability to handle sensitive & confidential information and to uphold the highest level of confidentiality

•Creative and flexible in attitude and style to adapt to new situations in a rapidly changing, dynamic IT environment
