Trainee Site Supervisor

Manage sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting suitable candidates with necessary experience and referrals. Monitoring subcontractor performance and controlling wastage of resources / material. Assist the Quantity Surveyor to obtain estimates / quotations for sites upon inspections with sub contractors. Implement safety standards in all construction sites. Plan and supply all necessary equipment, scaffolding, machinery prior to commencing of construction at sites with minimal cost to the organization. Manage labour and subcontractors at construction sites and ensure that all tasks are implemented as per the program plan given by the Quantity Surveyor. Prepare purchase orders after obtaining 3 suitable quotations from approved suppliers and handover to the accountant for management approval. Purchase the said materials with the purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to construction sites. Update the management about emerging construction practices and standards by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations. Ensure that the materials in the site are stored and secured in a proper manner with zero theft / damage / water seepage. Accomplish all targets for work assigned to the site supervisor with minimal delays.Assist the quantity surveyors with site measurements,work completion and other data in order to prepare BOQ's and Bills. Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and work overtime.
