Systems and Database Administrator

We urgently require dynamic, IT savvy individuals to join our managed services team to strengthen our presence in the field of database administration and maintenance. You will be based at our Global Technical Support Centre in Colombo. You will work in an ISO 20000 certified environment and your primary task is to deliver services related to database administration to local and foreign customers. You will also become a member of our continuous service and technical improvement teams.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills:

•          Microsoft MCITP / MCSA / MCSE: MSSQL Database Administrator / Developer
•          Microsoft MCSA: Window Server 2012
•          Expert knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server (All versions)
  • Microsoft SQL Server Installation, Upgrading, Maintaining and Performance Tuning
  • String skills in T-SQL and ETL concepts
  • SQL Server Agent - package setup and execution
  • SSIS, SSRA and SSAS skills
•          Experience in MYSQL and ORACLE database technologies
•          2+ Years’ experience as a Database Administrator
•          Degree in IT or an equivalent
•          Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills
•          Expertise in ERP and Web-specific technologies
•          Data modeling and database design skills
•          Schema management, Performance management and tuning skills
•          Application design and creating primary database storage structures
•          Maintaining system security, controlling and monitoring database access
•          Planning, backing up and restoring databases
•          Storage management skills
