Senior Software Quality Engineer – Performance Engineering
Role
Performance Engineers will be responsible for writing and executing performance test scripts in designated performance test environments using load testing tools, analyze and publishing test results to project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ experience in conducting performance testing using either LoadRunner/ JMeter or any other load testing tool with an IT degree or an equivalent educational qualification.
Requirements
- Experience with proprietary (HP LoadRunner, NeoLoad, Microsoft VSTS) and/or open-source (JMeter, Grinder) performance test tools
- Experience in Performance monitoring, Analysis, Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience in gathering Performance test requirements and capacity planning.
- Experience with tools such as Fiddler, Soap UI, Diagnostic/Profiling tools (dotTrace, DynaTrace, ANTS, etc.) are preferred but not required.
- Basic experience or knowledge required in Java, .NET Web Applications and underlying technologies; E.g.: HTML; XML; Active Server Pages (ASP) and ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript; VB Script, Transact SQL, Database Concepts.
- Knowledge in Coding Fundamentals (variable declaration, program flow, functions, error handling, etc.); Knowledge in either C or Java programing languages will be an added advantage.
- Experience in coordinating all activities between the various teams and stakeholder that are required to design and implement a performance testing strategy.
- Experience in defining Performance thresholds and key performance indicators.
- Experience in extrapolations methodologies and data modeling to design and build performance test data based on project performance requirements and forecasted usage.
- Able to accurately estimate task durations and meet commitments in an Agile software development environment.
- Understanding Internet, web server processes and web browser technologies
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently
