Industrial Engineer Manager

Our client is a leading International company supporting business of manufacturing and supplying high quality garments to top brands in the US and European market and head office based in Hong Kong.

Qualifications and experience

• NIFT or equivalent.
• Should have work experience 4-6 yrs preferably in Woven Bottom Wear Garments
• Graduate with specialization in IE / certification in GSD is an added merit.

Job Role

• Do IE bulletins in the beginning of the season based on techpacks and sketches to enable planning department to forecast manpower
• Do style simplification study along with Technical department to minimize the work content /smv of the garment .Make a detailed operation bulletin covering operation break down, smv , machine, attachments , manpower allocation , balancing strategy.
• Generate new operations which are not in the existing data bank.
•  Prepare IE file consist of approved OB , layout, machinery plan to handover to production/maintenance department. Update machinery planning chart as per style runs, project for future as per forward plan.
• Apply IE tools in any of low performing shop floor operations –at cutting ,sewing , finishing –to improve capacity of worker and developing them to perform at their highest potential .
• Responsible for making Worker performance reports and formulate improvement strategies for them in coordination with other departments – technical, maintenance , production, HR .
• Support non performing production lines by suggesting ideas to eliminate bottlenecks and situational balancing , easy work place engineering.
• Analyze , adapt and implement if any new methods to improve efficiencies are available
• Do special projects like Return of Investment calculation of new machinery or method , Process comparisons scientifically , design new work aids / work handling equipment
• Allocate activities and manage the junior staffs in IE department
