Analyst – non-life-( General Insurance)

Responsibilities

  • Work with underwriting teams to gather and maintain non-life policy data
  • Analyze data on non-life insurance claims and report loss ratios and other profitability indicators
  • Build and maintain models to project loss data based on historical trends
  • Build and maintain models to segment the non-life portfolios based on risk characteristics
  • Recommend pricing changes based on risk segmentation
  • Recommend revisions to underwriting practices based on risk segmentation
  • Monitor portfolio shifts and quantify impact of pricing revisions
  • Communicate results ad recommendations to senior management

 

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in statistics or other related fields
  • Advanced Excel and programming skills
  • Experience with statistical packages such as SAS and R
  • Previous experience in a similar role, or within the insurance industry will be an added advantage
