Role Summary

The IV/IQA is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and compliance of assessment decisions across programs delivered under ATHE and other UK awarding bodies. The role supports academic standards by monitoring assessment practices and maintaining internal quality assurance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Internally verify assessment decisions to ensure fairness, validity, and consistency
• Sample learner work and maintain IV sampling plans and reports
• Review and approve assignment briefs before release
• Provide feedback and guidance to assessors/tutors
• Conduct standardization meetings to align assessment practices
• Maintain accurate documentation for audit and compliance
• Support External Quality Assurer (EQA) visits and implement action plans
• Ensure adherence to awarding body and internal QA policies

Requirements

• Relevant degree (Business, IT, or related field)
• Experience in assessing qualifications from Pearson (BTEC), ATHE, Qualifi or similar
• Understanding of UK RQF and assignment-based assessment
• IQA (Level 4) and/or Assessor qualification (CAVA) preferred

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities
