Stores Assistants/Material Handlers

Leading Retail Store in Sri lanka

Job Role:
Attending to goods receiving, issuing and storage of materials in proper store locations
Loading, unloading and moving materials within the store and distributing throughout the facility
Operating manual loading and transporting equipment
Operating loading and transport equipment if licensed
Loading and unloading trucks in the receiving/shipping areas as instructed by the receiving staff
Packaging shipments for transport outside the store
Maintaining appropriate storage and handling of materials as per approved standards
Unpacking shipments for inspection purposes or for shelving
Reporting problems with materials or equipment to concerned staff in a timely manner
Ensure to report any damaged/inferior quality goods found during loading, unloading or at the time of storing to store supervisor in the related area.
