Software Engineer - PHP/MySql
Exetel Communication (Pvt) Ltd is looking for developers to work on the database systems used by Exetel Australia Pty Ltd. These systems are truly leading edge and have been developed over the last 8 years by Exeter’s own personnel using MySQL as the base engine.
In this position you will work in Exetel offices in Colombo but your work assignments and day to day supervision and management will be done by the head of Exetel Australia's IT Services manager.
You will work with other programmers and talented developers in both Australia and Sri Lanka to continue the development of innovative and world leading automated systems and software.
Academic Requirements
- You must have a degree in IT, majoring in programming, from a recognition university.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
Previous Experience
- At least three years working in a similar position
Essential Skills
- Strong object oriented PHP experience
- Solid MySQL skills/experience
- A sound understanding of database structure and design
- Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript and website development
- Real passion for latest web technologies
- Linux/Unix, Apache, SSL
Desirable Skills
A working knowledge of:
- jQuery
- AJAX
- SOAP
- Perl
- JAVA
Remuneration
