Senior Talent Acquisition Manager

Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading the recruiting team and support staff.  Manage all aspects of the recruiting function by partnering with stakeholders to develop and implement effective sourcing, selection and on boarding programs and processes aligned with the talent acquisition needs of the organization. Position reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition for Technology.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop strategy and implement the service model to support delivery of consultative talent acquisition services for full cycle recruiting - sourcing, screening, selecting, and hiring.
  • Develop and inspire recruiting team to deliver top talent in a timely and efficient manner.  Keep the team updated on best practices, business, and market updates.
  • Continuously improve selection programs and tools to increase effectiveness of talent selection and retention
  • Develop and execute comprehensive long-term strategies in branding, marketing, and sourcing designed to attract key talent through all media channels.
  • Enhance the recruitment process by soliciting feedback from candidates and all stakeholders.
  • Guide and educate stakeholders on process, policies and programs that support the talent acquisition efforts.
  • Manage overall performance of the recruiting team.  This includes tracking and providing feedback on key metrics that measure effectiveness and efficiencies of the recruiting team.
  • Identify, implement and administer technology applications (Applicant Tracking, Onboarding, etc.) to improve process efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
  • Support, plan and actively advocate Pearson’s diversity goals and initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and partners.
  • Effectively manage recruitment budgets by driving efficiencies

 

Qualifications
 

Experience and Education

Requires five to eight years of related recruiting experience with at least one to two years at a manager level

Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Proven leadership capabilities that include outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated success with client engagement including ability to build and maintain effective partnerships.
  • Ability to influence business partners and key decision makers at all levels of the organization.
  • Understands the importance of a great candidate experience and models that behavior
  • Track record of building innovative and creative recruiting programs.
  • Excellent leadership, presentation and people management skills
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and planning skills
  • Solid acumen in the fundamentals of project management enabling effective management of multiple projects and candidates.
  • Passion for recruiting and often goes "the extra step" to ensure the best possible result for both the candidate and internal clients
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to drive and deliver results with little supervision.
  • Ability to understand the business and can effectively articulate the culture, business strategies and initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency with all technologies – ATS, MS Office, Social, Web

Preferred:

  •  Prior experience working in a Asia-Pac regional or multinational company with matrix environment outside of Sri Lanka
  • Experience working in IT Industry
