Senior Engineering Manager

Role Profile

  • To manage the overall Engineering & Maintenance aspect of the Dehiwala Manufacturing/Packaging site, including special project and day to day routine activities related to maintenance of machinery, services such as electricity/water/telephone/building with providing a special focus on implementation and sustenance of Environment Health & Safety activities of the organization.

  • To establish and effective budget management for all maintenance related activities within laid down GSK budgeting and planning procedures and ensure strict adherence to effective utilization of such budgets.

  • To design specific plant machinery & equipment as and when required for ongoing operations and for capital projects in consultation with manufacturing/packing, Finance, EHS & QA Managers and to ensure that projects are executed within optimum cost and within agreed time schedule.

     

    Candidate Profile

  • A degree from a reputed university or equivalent related to Mechanical Engineering.

  • A successful track record with a minimum of 8 – 10 years of managerial/ industrial experience, preferably in food or pharmaceutical industry.

  • CEng or MEng, MBA from a recognized institution on the discipline of management will be an advantage.

  • Proven ability to plan, manage and lead cross functional projects to obtain desired business objectives.

  • A high level of energy, initiative, leadership skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
