Position Description 

 

The Operation Executive role will be involved in operations of Pearson Technical Operation (TechOps) department and ensure all the correspondence with Admin team, work with HR team, support Technical Operation team when needed and requested. Candidate will be reporting to the Administrating Manager and must have a background in IT with a basic understanding of the terms and processes in an IT environment. The working hours would be 1.00 pm to 10.00 pm.

 


Roles and responsibilities

 

  • Administer activities involving purchase of equipment, maintenance of procurement, housekeeping, safety and security
  • Monitor the Admin/facilities budget and report to management on variances. Ensure cost control measures are implemented
  • Assist with project management, cost optimization as well as implementing Business expansion plans
  • Maintain a good relationship with Contractors and Vendors that provide services to Pearson Lanka
  • Implement efficient processes and maintain process documents pertaining to the area of interest and purview
  • Asset management of all Pearson assets across multiple locations
  • Event management, organizing meetings, conferences, making travel arrangements and hotel reservations for guests & foreign delegates
  • Liaising and coordinating with other departments within Pearson and establish a good working relationship
  • Provide administration related information to all employees and guide the Admin team on day to day tasks
  • Actively participate and advice the Leadership Team on any strategic business planning, implementations, and client interactions
  • Up-keep office Administrative Facilities and ensure assistance with daily miscellaneous requests to maintain a harmonious work culture

 

Education, Experience and Key Competencies

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures
  • Up-to-date with advancements in office gadgets and applications
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Technically competent, with excellent problem solving, analytical, IT and managerial skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Time management and the ability to handle a complex workload
  • Qualifications in building services related disciplines
  • Experience in Managing a medium to large scale company
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in similar role.
