Manager - Fabric Technical

We are an intimate apparel manfacturer, working primarily in the higher value added segment of the market. Our customer base covers a range of buyers both in Europe and the USA. Our business is know for excellence in shaprewear (included bonded product), Bras (we have our own fabric moulding unit), Bodies, and more recently swimewear and sportswear.

The Head of Fabric Technology will oversee the process from initiation of lab dyes, through to performance testing of the finished product. Pre production activities such as establishing of bonding and moulding parameters, working with suppliers to ensure that product is fit for purpose etc.

You will be responsible for all testing (both of raw material and finished goods) and you therefore need to be familiar with the testing requirement for both the US and the EU markets. Our laboratory is accredited to the M&S Premier Scheme, and we also test to the ATCC protocols. We have a full complement of testing equipment including a Titan EM tester.

The department has some 35 individuals working across the areas of fabric inspection, testing, and setting of product specifications.

The vacancy advertised is a key appointment and the successful appliant will report to the Director / Country Manager and be part of the Management Team that drives the business.
