A boutique style hotel with 8 rooms and 1 suite is under new management. You will need to respond promptly to cleaning requests from guests and other departments. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms. Perform any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas of the hotel premises are in a clean and orderly manner.


Overview:

  • The Housekeeper will perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of guest's rooms . Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

Responsibilities:

  • Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
  • Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
  • Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas.
  • Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets.


Experience of commercial cleaning preferably within a hotel setting is required.

Salary 15,000.00 to 20,000.00 Sri Lankan rupees per month
