Head of Procurement

Job Specification
- Degree in relevant field
- Minimum 4 years experience in purchasing/procurement.
- Good command of written and spoken English language and Computer literacy (Ms Excel).
- Should have good presentation and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- To define, develop and implement the Procurement Policy and create awareness among Business Managers and support function managers to adhere to it
- Develop and maintain a network / database of key suppliers of goods and services
- Develop and maintain a Procurement Plan defining how to minimize DPI
- Define and safeguard the quality standards of services offered in the tenders/offers, including setting KPI’s and participation in the internal QA programs
- Should be disciplined and a team player.
- Should strictly follow HSE guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Should have high integrity.
- Should be able to work extended hours if required.
- Living in and around Colombo will be an advantage.
