We are looking to hire an experienced cook for a Villa near Hikkaduwa to serve both international and local clients.

We expect the successful candidate to provide meals (both local and some western dishes) of a high international standard and maintain cleanliness and hygiene at all times.

The person has to live on site in the staff cottage and also help other team members on days when no guests are staying at the Villa.

 Role:

- Report directly into the general manager

- Provide up to 10 guests with a daily variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options

- Maintain the highest level of hygiene in the kitchen

- Adhere to international servicing standards for table decoration and food presentation

- Living on site to make sure guests are not by themselves at night

- Support the managers with daily maintenance tasks when Villa is vacant

Candidate Profile:

- Many years of experience in cooking for international clients

- English-speaking and flexible working hours

- High attention to detail for decoration and thrive to perfectionism

- In-depth knowledge of required international hygiene standards and quality expectations

- Knowledge of cultural differences and preferences of international guests
