The Position

Exetel is looking to expand the current team of Customer Account Representatives in Colombo responsible for all aspects of administrative and billing inquiries from Exetel’s over 100,000 customers in Sydney, Australia, via email, online helpdesk and/or telephone.
 
Exetel’s Colombo office is at the World Trade Centre (WTC). You will be required to work an 8 hour ’shift’ from 3.00 am to 12.00 noon five days each week. This ’shift’ will be varied on an alternate month basis with a ’shift’ worked between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm. The people who are currently successful at Exetel in these positions have the following characteristics:

 

Main Duties
·       Investigating and responding in timely manner to customer queries on perceived or real errors in charges made to them
·       Ensuring customers who fail to pay bills on time are followed up until payment is made in full
·         Further developing the systems used to automate all aspects of these functions
·         Working with other areas within Exetel on various activities

Essential Requirement of These Positions
·         Excellent verbal and written English
·         Employment background in telecom/mobile billing, customer service, account management
·         A Degree in accounting/finance/marketing/IT
·         Desire to progress your career based on your innovation
·         Patience and Courtesy
·         Ability to learn fast
 
Remuneration

Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications but will not be less than Rs. 60,000 if you are allocated to the afternoon shift OR Rs.90,000/- if you are allocated to the early morning shift that operates from 3.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
