With over 25 hotels and resorts under the brands Heritance, Adaaran, and Aitken Spence Hotels & Resorts - Aitken Spence Hotels has presence in Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Oman and India. We seek services of a self-motivated, dynamic individual to join one of our hotels in the following capacity.

Chief Engineer

The ideal candidate should be possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar capacity. Leadership skills, analytical and problem solving ability, communication skills and the tendency to take initiative are key attributes sought in the individual. Applicants should have experience in providing building services consisting of air conditioning plants, water & sewage treatment plants, kitchen and laundry equipment and swimming pools.

 The selected individual will be responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel. His/Her duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

- Attending to maintenance of all the equipment and locations of the hotel, including the hotel premises and grounds

- Leading energy management initiatives within the hotel

- Preparing budgets

- Maintaining all records pertaining to machinery and equipment and their maintenance

- Liaising with contractors, architects, consultants during construction and defects liability period

- Implement health and safety measures in the hotel, including carrying out the  training related to

- Supervise the engineering team of the hotel.
