Cashier

Job Specification

  • GCE A/L qualified
  • AAT intermediate or similar.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in purchasing/procurement.
  • Good command of written and spoken English language and Computer literacy (Ms Excel).
  • Should have good presentation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential and timely business support to all businesses sectors through cash handling and related treasury functions.
  • Custodian of petty cash imprest and record keeping for replenishment of the imprest on daily basis
  • Custodian of foreign currencies and recording keeping for receipt and issues.
  • Strict adherence to the authority Matrix cash and cash handling procedures approved by the management.
  • Scrutinizing of petty cash bills and make petty cash payments.
  • Handling of cash advances to employees and record keeping.
  • Coordinating with banks for cheque encashment as part of petty cash handling and cash advance handling, bank document delivery, collection of bank statement, collection of bank advices etc.
  • Should be disciplined and a team player.
  • Should strictly follow HSE guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Should have high integrity.
  • Should be able to work extended hours if required.
  • Living in and around Colombo will be an advantage.
