Associate Service Desk Analyst

Pearson Lanka is currently seeking a Associate Service Desk Analyst to ensure customer satisfaction by responding to calls to the Network Operations Center and identifying solutions where possible. 

As the successful candidate you will be able to work autonomously to provide Tier 1 support for all users and systems in the production of Pearson products which include SaaS, infrastructure (OS, UCS, VM, Storage and Cloud) and DB support.

Based in Orion City, Colombo you will be diligent and accountable. These qualities will enable you to work with internal and external engineering teams to rapidly resolve major and minor incidents.

Selection Criteria:
 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds.
• Laser focus on achieving customer satisfaction and putting the customer first.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to balance conflicting priorities.
• General server hardware knowledge.
• Good understanding of Windows, Linux, Networking, WAN and Virtualization technologies.
