SQL Server DBA (2016) Database Administration tasks <ul> <li>Install and configure SQL Server.</li> <li>Setup and maintain SQL Server account security.</li> <li>Performs SQL backups and restores.</li> <li>Setup, schedule, and troubleshoot SQL Server jobs.</li> <li>Applies updates and upgrades to production database environments.</li> <li>Monitoring existing installations and fine tuning for better performance</li> <li>Read requirement documents and Design Databases based on them and preparing ER diagrams</li> <li>Writing Database code including stored procedures and triggers</li> <li>Setup and run SQL Server Profiler traces.</li> <li>Optimize SQL queries and suggest alternative methods to enhance the efficiency.</li> <li>Identify potential performance / security vulnerabilities and bad coding patterns and propose / implement solution to overcome those.</li> </ul> Education and Experience <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT</li> <li>Above 5 Years’ experience with minimum of 3 years of Database administration hands on</li> </ul> Key Technical Competencies <ul> <li>Proficient in OOP concepts</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server administration , preference on the latest Version</li> <li>Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL)</li> <li>Knowledge in writing Stored Procedures</li> <li>Knowledge in relational database design</li> <li>Knowledge in scripting languages</li> <li>Knowledge of database driven Internet applications</li> <li>Coding skills in multiple languages desired in at least one language is essential</li> </ul> Other Competencies <ul> <li>Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation</li> <li>Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently in a high stressed environment</li> <li>Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Excellent organizational and time management skills</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently and in a team based environment</li> </ul> Please click the link to apply pearsonlankavacancies.peopleshr.com
