<img alt="" src="/logo/0000000233/7459_SE JAVA 1.PNG" style="height: 350px;width: 800px;"/> Senior Virtualization Engineer Responsibility <ul> <li>In depth knowledge in Vmware hypervisor management experience.</li> <li>Server hardware support and deployment experience.</li> <li>Extensive experience working in a virtualization enterprise environment.</li> <li>Heavy experience with automation and digitizing workflows.</li> <li>Automate any and all operational works related to virtualized environments.</li> <li>Build and maintain customization specifications along with associated automation, tooling and quality control.</li> <li>Recommend and execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance</li> <li>Build detailed capacity plans for different virtualized environments in world wide.</li> <li>Measure, monitor and optimize hardware utilization.</li> <li>Performance analysis and tuning of virtualized environments.</li> <li>Build high availability & reliable architecture designs of virtualized platforms as per business requirements</li> <li>Document workflows, processes, procedures, configuration and use cases of infrastructure.</li> <li>Configure, run and measure load profiles via test automation and scripting.</li> <li>Manage and provide 3rd Line Support, process, and procedures for the company VMware infrastructure components in accordance with agreed service levels, standards and processes.</li> <li>Identify and drive initiatives to proactively improve the quality and effectiveness of the infrastructure services to minimize business disruption.</li> </ul> Challenges <ul> <li>Willing to travel to USA at various times for collaboration activities.</li> <li>24x7 Availability in case of emergencies</li> <li>Working with counterparts in other global teams</li> <li>Working with global team.</li> <li>The position may require to be a part of an on-call rotation</li> <li>Maintaining 99.9% network uptime</li> <li>Ability to learn and absorb new technologies and skills faster</li> </ul> Technical Competency <ul> <li>VMWare ESX infrastructure platform experience in ESXi 4, ESXi 5</li> <li>Demonstrated expertise in the design, implementation and support of VMware server infrastructures.</li> <li>Good understanding of related storage technologies e.g. SAN, NAS and NFS storages.</li> <li>Strong understanding of automation/scripting techniques.(vSphere power CLI, Power Shell)</li> <li>Strong understanding VMware Templates and Customization Specifications</li> <li>Understanding of data communication protocols focusing on TCP/IP.</li> <li>Understanding of SAN/NAS technologies.</li> <li>In depth experience with hardware and software based server monitoring tools.</li> <li>Demonstrated competency in the use of project management tools and methodologies.</li> <li>Working experience with Distributed Switches and Virtual Switches</li> <li>Working experience with Data store configurations and storage networking</li> <li>Experience with Host profile configurations</li> <li>Strong understanding of Permissions/Roles and security groups</li> <li>Sound knowledge in VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, Affinity rules and EVC configurations</li> <li>Working Experience with P2V conversions.</li> <li>In depth experience with ESX and vcenter host configurations and optimization</li> <li>Experience with Update Manger and patch updates</li> <li>Experience in designing cloud-based infrastructure</li> <li>Sound knowledge of Open-stack</li> <li>Working knowledge of containerization and micro services</li> </ul> Non-Technical Competency <ul> <li>Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision from onsite locations.</li> <li>Should be willing to work on extended and irregular hours when required.</li> <li>Strong self-starter, motivated to help TEAM in their deliverables</li> <li>Ability to present to internal audiences and excellent communication skill</li> <li>Should be comfortable in working under pressure</li> <li>Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks</li> <li>Should have very good verbal & written communication skills.</li> </ul> Educational & Professional Qualifications (preferred) <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, IS or equal qualifications.</li> <li>VMware Certified Professional 5 – Data Center Virtualization (VCP5-DCV)</li> <li>VMware Certified Professional - Cloud (VCP-Cloud)</li> <li>VMware Certified Advanced Professional 5 - Data Center Administration (VCAP5-DCA)</li> <li>VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Cloud Infrastructure Design (VCAP-CID)</li> <li>VMware Certified Design Expert 5 - Data Center Virtualization (VCDX5-DCV)</li> <li>ITIL - Foundation</li> </ul> Please apply through this link : http://pearsonlankavacancies.peopleshr.com/ApplicationForm.aspx?PRF_ID=000156&digest=edDDvvoBGuisV8NcRTs/FQ
