<p><strong>Designation – Senior Technologist, Fabric </strong></p> <p><strong>Division – Technical Services </strong></p> <p><strong>Staff Type – Permanent </strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Liaise with New York teams on all fabric development and be responsible for QA approval of the adopted developments</li> <li>Ensure all fabric developments are consistent with the relevant quality and regulatory standards and are production viable</li> <li>Research and study new techniques and methods to present to the Product Development team</li> <li>Ensure that all colors and artworks are developed and approved in alignment with production timelines</li> <li>Manage the end to end process from raw material development through to bulk</li> <li>Negotiate prices to provide raw material costing aligned with market value</li> <li>Advise fabric and garment vendors on overcoming production issues</li> <li>Ensure cross functional teams are appraised of all issues related to raw material development, pre-production, bulk and quality assurance</li> <li>Partner with production and sourcing teams on calendar and lead-times to facilitate speed and quick response of raw materials</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Degree in textile technology or appropriate discipline</li> <li>Minimum 5 years relevant experience working with fabric and colour development</li> <li>Must have garment production knowledge and good understanding of the Intimate Apparel business</li> <li>Fluent in English</li> <li>Strong and proactive team player</li> <li>Attention to detail and deadlines</li> <li>Good communication and networking skills</li> </ul>
